Restorative yoga offers us the opportunity to learn to relax - to rest deeply and completely. Allow yourself the time to be a part of a completely supportive environment as you let your body melt into restorative poses. Leave rested and refreshed, knowing you can return to that place of rest again and again.
This special event will be offered the 3rd Sunday of every month.
For each special restorative class, please bring one or two firm blankets, one or two yoga blocks if you have any, and dress for comfort. An eye pillow is lovely if you have one! For those of you without props, they will be provided for you.Event fee: $15

Reiki Level 1 training with Josephine
Friday, February 24th 7pm-10pm to Saturday, February 25th 8:30am-6:00pm
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. This description is found at www.reiki.org/faq/whatisreiki.html
Event fee: $150. Pre-registration required by Wednesday, February 22nd

Yoga for Managing Stress with Becky Morrissey

This workshop explores how the practice of yoga is an effective technique for managing stress by helping you relieve body tension and relate emotionally to the "stress reaction" as a natural, even useful awareness. By learning how stress physiologically and psychologically occurs in the body, we will apply yogic techniques as a way to bring the stress reaction into balance when needed. We will learn how yoga helps us to be more available, less distracted mentally and emotionally, in the present moment.
Event fee: $25 pre-registration and $30 at the door. Pre-registration required by Wednesday, March 28th
Please contact Sue Hanna at 937-371-7694 or via e-mail at suehanna7@yahoo.com to register for this class by Wednesday, March 28th

The Balanced, Fit, and Flexible (B.F.F.) Riding Clinic is a 2 part clinic that focuses on the rider first and the horse second. Balance, stretch, and strengthen your body with myofascial release, yoga, and pilates for the rider. Well also be covering nutrition for the rider. Ride focused using diaphragmatic breathing and meditation. Ride strong using pilates and weight training. Learn how to naturally balance your pelvis, back and shoulders so you can focus on guiding your horse rather than on your postural alignment. This course is all about the rider out of the saddle to create harmony during times in the saddle. The second part of the clinic will focus on assessing your horse's alignment, stretching your horse to improve its flexibility, assessing the rider's alignment on the horse, and developing a union between the horse and rider in the saddle. Return to the home page and click on "join the B.F.F. Rider challenge" for more information and to register for the course.
Each course is 5 hours in duration and available by request at your barn. Gather 10 or more participants, we will bring the course to you, and your course fee is waived for the host.
